VIPPROD cc______: VSAM open failed; RC=xx______
Each VIP agent needs its own VIPPROD VSAM dataset for storing information unique that agent. A return code of 0X0008 indicates that an agent’s VIPPROD is already opened by another task or job. The site has probably attempted to share a VIPPROD between two agents, or inadvertently started a VIP agent twice on a particular system.
The message reads, for example:
