This message group is written when a packet trace is started by the agent, either directly by a user at a browser, or because of a previously-defined schedule. The messages show the unique trace id number (which will be repeated in message LOG00430000MI when the trace completes) and the userid of the user that started the trace. (If this is a scheduled trace, the message will show “started by schedule.”) If the trace data is read from or written to a dataset, the dataset name will be shown; if the trace output was sent to the GUI at a VIP server, the server name will be shown. The final message lines show the filter parameters in effect for the trace.
